And the hunt is on...

Well... here I am, going through the incredibly slow process of writing cover letters. I have composed three so far and I have at least two more to go. It is too bad you can not just use one template and be done with it. But of course, each job is different and so must the cover letter be. But sometimes it feels like pulling teeth, kind of reminds me of writing some of my papers in library school. I know what I want to say until it comes time to actually get in down on 'paper'. Sheesh! My current position as Web/Assistant Librarian is over in two months, it has been a great learning experience and I will have wonderful references, but I am ready for a Librarian/Information position with the appropriate salary to match!

I am happy to say that I am done with it for today. I am off for a much needed massage shortly. At my current job I am not at all ergonomically set up and have had to visit my chiropractor almost on a weekly basis since May. I love her, she is wonderful, but it has been getting a bit much for my pocketbook, especially seeing as how I am trying to save every penny for my next trip to Africa. Hopefully the massage will help with this horrible pain I have in my shoulder/neck.

Wish me luck on the job hunt... I will be back with more to tell (whinge about) later.

So far this weekend has been lovely as far as the weather goes. A beautiful August in Alberta (but wait... it is Alberta and as we know, the weather here can change at the drop of a hat!)

Massssaaaaage time :)

oh, those cover letters are the worst!!! the resume isn't so bad because it basically stays the same (you may tweak it a little depending on the job). But that darn cover letter is what makes applying for jobs so cumbersome. Not only do you have to change them (rather quickly too because positions tend to go fast), but they also have to be flawless.
