Sweet Dreams

or not...

Reading Violette's posting about her dream made me think again of a dream I had recently. Keep in mind that I have been very sick, not getting enough sleep and highly stressed at work.

I am in a big semi-truck, sitting in the passenger seat. I look over and there is my boss, she is driving, hanging tightly onto the wheel, 10 and 2 o'clock. But there is something strange about the semi. For one thing, the steering wheel is inflatable and somehow I know that the wheels are inflatable too, you know, like water wings or a balloon. I am not sure how her hands are able to grip the wheel, but she does. She is staring straight ahead, like I'm not there, determined and unwavering. We are heading to the Arctic Circle, everything is white, there is no difference between the ground and the horizon, but she knows where to go.

Then I notice that I am not the only one there with her. I look behind me and notice that there is no separation between the cab and the trailer, instead it is like a big bus, with metal benches all along the sides. The benches are filled with moaning people, hanging onto each other and to the benches. I realize that they are staff/colleagues from the building I work in.

I am afraid and cold...

That's all I remember, damn that cold medication.

It sounds like you're a bit scared of where your boss might be taking the organization...

As for my dream, well, I think it's pretty clear that something needs to change. I'm not sure if it was something specific, or just general, but message received.
