Contrived

One of the most contrived and blatantly commercial 'holidays' of all time is approaching. I freely admit that at this moment in time I am biased (read as bitter and cynical).

Who wants to get a gift or be taken out for dinner or given flowers just because it is February 14th? Wouldn't these gestures have more meaning if they weren't dictated by retail avarice?

Sigh... I need a holiday
