Not your usual Thanksgiving

Last weekend was Thanksgiving and I decided to get out of Nanaimo for a day. On Sunday I left for Ucluelet, because I had not been there and needed a destination. When I left home it was pouring rain so hard I could barely see the cars in front of me and I thought to myself, what the heck am I doing? I should be cozy on my couch at home reading a good book or watching a trashy movie.

However, as you can see from the photos, it turned into a glorious day. I went for hike on the "Wild Pacific Trail", had a picnic lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the wild beauty of the far west coast of Vancouver Island.
