Canada Day

Well yes indeed, summer has finally hit the Island. It is going to be a blistering 30+ this weekend. Perfect for the long weekend, except it is not a long weekend at all. The holiday is on a Tuesday, but I have decided to take Monday off, which gives me a lovely 4 whole days off! Whoohooo. That is part of the good news, the other part is that I am going camping, where I will do fun things like inner tubing down a cool river and hiking shady trails. That will be so much nicer than sweltering in my extremely hot, south facing apartment, with insufficient window coverings and barely any screens. (I am going to have to remedy that if it stays hot).
