Saskatoon

Hi folks,

Wow, am I ever bushed. I arrived in Saskatoon on Wednesday afternoon. It was a fairly nice day, with the sun peaking out from behind large gray, white clouds. The temperature was nice in the mid-teens. Great day to get out and see the city. BUT... within an hour or so of getting to the hotel I realized that I was coming down with a cold, and it grew worse very quickly. By late afternoon I was in bed in my pj's drinking lemon tea with honey and feeling sorry for myself. Not only did I have to finish preparing for my presentation on Friday, but I had a full day of interview and meetings and more...

Damn it!!

I got very sick, and by Friday was not sure how I was going to manage. I did manage though... what else can one do? By the time I was half way through my presentation on using PubMed, I was feverish and sweating profusely. I am not sure how the interview went, it was the end of the day and I am bit foggy about it all. They seemed happy with me, so I guess I will find out. I have asked them to let me know by Friday as I have a job offer pending.

I thought I would know for sure after this interview which job I prefer... but I don't know. I really do not know...

The bright side of my Saskatoon adventure is that Violette came to see me and we spent a couple of days together, and I hope she did not get my cold. We watched tv, while I blew my nose and went shopping and had good food. Thanks Violette for putting up with me I know I was kind of miserable .
